MEET THE CHARACTERS

Magnus is from the largest city in Snoozeland. He displayed leadership qualities as a youngster in school and became a trusted friend to many. He gained his powers (and became well known) when the race he was running in at his sixth grade track meet had an interesting turn of events. He has a love of music, which he likes to both create and listen to. But he doesn’t like the dark….at all.

Bruno’s strength and power are legendary in Snoozeland. On the day he received his special powers, he was credited with saving a classmate’s life. He is known for the flowers he grows in his greenhouse and gives to people to show how much he cares. He’s a big softy inside. But one thing to know about Bruno is that he truly doesn’t like fire. It’s his biggest fear, and sometimes keeps him from being able to sleep at night.

They used to measure intelligence by IQ. Now it’s called the Lexi Scale. Yes, that’s how smart she is. Lexi is a prodigy by every definition of the word, so there’s no point in challenging her intellect. But she is, after all, still just a Vykan, and there’s no getting around your fears. Lexi is terrified of wild animals and wild creatures. She puts on a brave face, but it’s just masking something she can’t control. Maybe that’s what fuels her desire to beat her fear of beasts?

The other Defenderz say that Sonny has grit….something inside him that drives him to work harder than everyone else. He’s probably the most serious Defender; the one you can count on to get the job done when it’s crunch time. When he was young, he became curious about magic and spells when his grandfather gave him a book on the topic. And, most people in Snoozeland can tell you the story of the day he found his unique spell-casting powers. Sonny often finds time to help his mother in the kitchen because he likes to make desserts….and eat them too!

When you grow up in paradise, like Zigy did, you don’t have to pay close attention to time. Which is why he’s often late. Or is it because he gets lost in playing his video games? Either way, it drives the other Defenderz nuts. But that’s just Zigy. You sure are grateful to have him on your team when it comes down to crunch time though. He has the ability to form into a rubber ricochet ball of sonic energy which comes in pretty handy sometimes against the bad guys. You just have to remember about his fear of drowning. A scared Zigy, is not a fun Zigy.

Beevil is a turbo-charged tech wizard who uses his intelligence to cause mischief and mayhem. He wears a bio-enhanced suit that gives him heightened combat reflexes and flight – which makes him very hard to catch. The suit also acts an exoskeleton and protects his body and brain from injury during battle. Beevil is very protective of the Bed Bugz, and becomes vengeful toward anyone who harms his friends. Torrag likes to try to match up Beevil against Magnus when he can in a duel of ultimate determination.

Cindro is a hot-head; he has a short fuse when he doesn’t get his way. His power is off the charts – he can throw fire balls at his targets leaving them torched to a smoldering crisp. But he uses up a lot of energy, and gets burnt out quickly. As you might expect, he doesn’t have any close friends (no one can get close to him), so he longs for companionship. He is Bruno’s most challenging enemy.

Snakez is a master at blending into her surroundings. She can sneak up on you without you knowing it. But her hiss is scarier than her bite. Her true power is her ability to freeze you in place with her hypnotic eyes. But be careful not to get tangled up in her strangling grip, or she might squeeze you until you pop. Lexi is not fond of any of the Night Krawlerz, but slithery Snakez is her least favorite.

Being a master of stealth, Quazar often hides in the dark shadows waiting for the perfect moment to unleash loud and flashy explosions on unsuspecting kids trying to fall asleep. He views himself as the puppet master to the Alienz…..almost as if they are his own army. Torrag always keep a close eye on Quazar to make sure he’s not planning a scheme to overtake Caventon. Quazar causes Sonny, in particular, problems because he’s so elusive……but sometimes Sonny just has more grit.

Lagoon is known for his atrocious scales and stinky odor. He is always underappreciated and wishes to be taken more seriously by his fellow villains. He is bossy and likes to command the Sea Starz more than any other Night Krawler. His goal is to deliver the worst nightmares possible; to make it seem like everything is drowning under water. If something smells fishy, does anyone want to place a bait that Lagoon is around? Zigy’s biggest fear is water, so when he and Lagoon find themselves in opposition, it’s a difficult match up.
